The Archbishop of Minya and Abu Qurqas met with the elderly lady, Suad, who was stripped of her clothes in the village of Karam.

Suad added that she tried to conceal what happened, just like those who were raped or harassed, but she could not tolerate the feeling of oppression and humiliation for more than three days. Suad explained that she did not see the woman she was hiding, nor did she know how she escaped death. She also denied being raped, noting that she did not make a mistake, so she courageously recorded everything she suffered.

In a related context, she and her husband went to the center at 4 pm to make a report after the discovery of the theft of their house, but the official there threatened and expelled them, and four hours later the disaster happened.

For their part, Major General Menia, along with all the security officers, informed His Excellency Archbishop Makarios that they are determined to arrest all those involved in the incident and bring them to justice.
